HIES is a national installer membership organisation covering the installation of domestic renewable energy and home energy efficiency products.
They are also a Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) approved Consumer Code. HIES’s aim is to transform consumer protection within the home renewable market. Prospective installer members must pass a strict accreditation process and will be subject to annual checkups to ensure they follow the rules and code of practice. Consumers using an accredited member will have access to a friendly advice service from our dedicated team, deposit and payment protection, insurance backed guarantees, and a CTSI approved dispute resolution service for added protection during their customer journey.

Energy Performance Validation Scheme est. 2016
EPVS is a certification standard that validates the processes used by installers to ensure energy-saving, generating and/or storing calculations/estimates for home energy products are accurate and valid.
EPVS aim to protect consumers from receiving incorrect performance estimates, running costs, and (where applicable) incentive income or grants by auditing the contractual paperwork to ensure it meets their certification standard.
